Job Description

  • Initiate and implement workplace health and safety plans and procedures.
  • Evaluate health and safety practice and procedures for risk assessment and following legal guidelines.
  • Conduct accident prevention training and health & safety training.
  • Inspect equipment/business units for unsafe workplace conditions and unsafe acts.
  • Monitor workplace safety at site.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to find cause and take prevention measures not to happen further incidents.
  • Handle employee/contractor's safety violated penalty claims in the event of a workplace accident and incident.
  • Suggest solutions, improvements and prevention steps for safety issues.
  • Have to handle the WILMAR GLOBAL EHS system and feed back report to EHS team.
  • Monitoring current and potential health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace, participating in corporate-level hazard assessments, and developing and approving controls for identified hazards.
  • Creating, circulating and enforcing a hazard assessment process, accident investigation procedures and health and safety policies, practices and procedures of WILMAR subsidiaries.
  • Tracking incident metrics and identifying trends.
  • Sharing general health and safety knowledge to all employees.
  • Organize to order safety equipment/PPE and deal with procurement dept 
  • Manage safety team in Kyaik Latt Rice mill upon local management requirements & group EHS requirements.

Job Requirement

  • Must be graduated.
  • Myanmar/English (Written and Verbal Communication, Typing Skill)
  • Must have 3-5 years experience and preferred to have safety experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
  • Certified in risk management and health/safety management and through knowledge of health and safety laws and guidelines.
  • Good understanding of data analysis and risk assessment, Ability to provide detailed reports and develop safety procedures.
  • Good organizational, leadership & motivational skills and good communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Able to organize different assignments and able to stay at dormitory upon job requirement.
  • Preferred to have Safety Management Specialist (SMS) and Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certificate.
