Summary:

The Deputy Chief Engineer has the overall responsibility and oversight for directing the Engineering Team, the individual should be an industry known technical expert in the civil engineering field.

Core responsibilities

• Preparation of the project schedule and planning
• Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, schedule, possible cost saving measures and potential construction problems
• Solving technical problems with organization’s representatives, providers, sub-contractors as well as relevant authorities
• Prioritize, plan and assign daily work duties to engineering staffs
• Mange all expenses within the allotted budget
• Ensure that engineering team uses equipment safely and efficiently to avoid accidents
• Oversee recycling and waste disposal programs
• Order and stock the maintenance supplies to avoid any shortages
• Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists
• Other duties as assigned by Management

Education:

• Degree level in Civil Engineering or related subject
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor Graduate in related field

Skills and Knowledge required:

• She/he should have at least 10 years of experience in the field of civil engineering (irrigation experiences must be advantage) with 6 years in managerial and strategic position
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize and to meet commitments
• Excellent cost controlling ability
• Strong organizational, analytical and quantitative skills
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
• Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues
• Must be computer literate
• Regularly required to travel
