Job Description

Developing and implementing a corporate communications plan for the Company which is consistent with and reflects the organisation’s strategic vision and objectives while maintaining an excellent reputation with internal and external stakeholders. This includes:  

 Promote MPRL E&P’s mission, vision and values internally and externally

 Develop and execute internal communications and media relations strategies and tactics that supports business objectives, managing the delivery, cycle, and flow of those communications

 Plan and manage corporate communications, public relations, media relations, branding and sponsorship tasks, and manage deliverables
 Create strategic communications tailored to key stakeholder groups 
 
 Devise a proactive corporate communications plan to mitigate adverse media coverage

 Create contents to efficiently increase media exposure and maximize reach of key messages

 Work with media outlets to publish timely company information, such as press releases, brochures, and other materials

 Oversee the operation of social media platforms in order to connect with key stakeholders and address queries or complaints from members of the public

 Manage and drive the publication of the Company’s periodic and annual reports. Responsible for the Report theme, contents, cover and layout etc.

 Create awareness and recognition for the Company by continuously leveraging on corporate functions to raise the Company’s profile by maximising all media opportunities e.g. print, digital, social etc.  

 Apply rigorous focus on media metrics and reporting. 

Periodically, the employee may be expected to perform assigned duties and tasks not covered in this job description as well as to provide support to other departments when necessary. 
 

Job Requirement

 Minimum seven years of progressive corporate communications experience; preferably in a public relations agency, professional services or large corporate communications environment

 Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field from an accredited college or university

 Deep experience in media relations, social media and content creation for multiple audiences and stakeholders

 Be a strong writer with a creative approach to storytelling, and with journalist-quality writing skills to create pitches, news releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, blog posts, social media posts and executive briefing documents. 
 
Special Skills 
 
 Great communication skills with ability to develop and deliver clear, concise narratives and written communications for diverse assignments in a fast-paced environment

 Excellent partnering skills and collaborative approach across disciplines and functions

 Solid digital communications experience, including metrics analysis.
